My full-time missionary daughter challenged me to do something every day to prepare for April 2020 General Conference. This was the finished product. I affectionately subtitled it “my testimony of the Restoration”.
This stirring piano solo combines three favorite Restoration hymns: Joseph Smith’s First Prayer, Called to Serve and The Spirit of God. As I wrote and composed, their words filled my soul:
Oh, how lovely was the morning…birds singing…music ringing.
Called to serve…onward…God our strength will be…called to serve our King!
We’ll sing and we’ll shout with the armies of heaven…
Hosanna!
